Kris Carlson is the driving force behind KCEnvironmental, bringing more than 25 years of specialized experience in the Landfill Gas (LFG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) industry. As the founder of Carlson Environmental Consultants (CEC), Kris built one of the most respected environmental service firms in the sector, growing the company from a single employee to more than 250 team members under his leadership as CEO.
Kris’s career reflects the expertise, innovation, and operational excellence expected from a multi‑decade engineer and industry leader. His deep technical knowledge, combined with real world field experience, has shaped KCEnvironmental into a forward thinking, solutions driven company trusted by landfills, municipalities, industrial clients, and RNG developers across the region.

With more than 15 years of experience in the LFG, RNG, Jet/Vac, and industrial cleaning sectors, Matt Outlaw has built his career from the ground up. Starting as an entry level technician, Matt’s drive, discipline, and commitment to excellence propelled him into senior leadership, ultimately becoming Vice President and a key force behind growth & operational strength.
For over 14 years, Matt has worked alongside Kris Carlson, helping scale operations, develop high performing teams, and elevate service standards across every division. His leadership style is defined by consistency, accuracy, integrity, and an unwavering focus on delivering the best possible experience for clients. Matt is known for building people up, strengthening processes, and ensuring every project meets the highest expectations for safety, performance, and reliability.
